Description:
Small tree. Bark grey, roughish and fissured; branchlets flaking, revealing paler underbark. Leaves crowded near the ends of branches, more or less narrowly obovate, 10-15 cm long, leathery, hairless above, usually covered with coarse brownish hairs below; margin entire; petiole short and thick. Flowers in dense axillary spikes, white, cream or pale yellow, strongly but unpleasantly scented. Fruits in heavy pendent clusters, 2-winged, up to 7.5 × 4.5 cm, dull pink when ripe, drying pale brown.
