Description: |
Small deciduous tree with leathery, near-orbicular leaves, roughly hairy; 3-5-veined from the base. It is unmistakable when in a white blaze of flowers. The flowers may occasionally be pink. They turn a dirty brown colour with age and persist on the tree for a long time. In this way they form wings to the developing fruit and act as an agent for seed dispersal. |
