Common names:
Status: Native
Annual herb to 70 cm. Leaves narrowly linear, with a sharp point. Inflorescence a dense white or pinkish prickly spike, up to 20 cm long, the axis densely woolly.
Derivation of specific name: angustifolia: narrow-leaved
Habitat: In sandy soils, in open woodland, grassland and degraded areas.
Flowering time:
Worldwide distribution: Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa.
