Common names:
A soft-woody perennial with stems erect, sparsely branched, up to 2.5 m tall from a woody rhizome. Leaves opposite, petiolate, ovate to elliptic, discolorous, puberulous above, silvery tomentose below, with red sessile glands. Inflorescence lax to dense, calyx purple, corolla blue.

Worldwide distribution: Zambia, Angola and Namibia.
