Leaves alternate, simple; petiole stout, up to 1 cm long with dense white stellate indumentum; lamina broadly elliptic, apex attenuate, base rounded to cuneate, margin sharply but irregularly dentate, bright green, adaxially puckered with fine intercostal stellate indumentum, abaxially prominently veined, 100 x 50 mm; stipule lanceolate, 1 cm long, densely pubescent, persistent. Flower in axillary clusters, showy, 3.5-4 cm in diameter. Pedicels extremely stout. Petals 5, white, crinkly. Sepals 5, fleshy, adaxially white, abaxially green, prominent, recurved.
