Leaves arranged in 2 rows, linear, 40 x 10 mm, gradually tapering to fine tip which usually withers, glabrous, clearly ribbed, yellow-green. Inflorescence a densely branched panicle, borne on stout peduncle. Flower large, showy, subtended by foliaceous bracts, 35 mm long. Petals 6, fused, creamy white; tube long: 15 cm, slender: 1.5 - 2mm, often purple tinted, slightly curved; free tips ovate, 30 x 5-6 mm. Anthers 3, 10 mm long. Stigma branches 3, clavate.5
