Description of the genus

Epiphytic, occasionally lithophytic, herbs. Pseudobulbs 0. Stems with persistent leaf bases. Leaves distichous, conduplicate, linear to oblong, unequally 2-lobed at apex. Inflorescences arched or pendent. Flowers usually white, turning apricot as they age. Sepals and petals free, ± similar. Lip entire or 3-lobed; spur pendent with a narrow mouth. Rostellum 2-fid.

Worldwide: 3 species in tropical and South Africa

Caprivi: 1 cultivated taxon.
