Description of the genus

Epiphytic, monopodial herbs with long, slender, leafy stems. Leaves distichous, linear or ligulate, articulated at the base to persistent leaf sheaths. Inflorescence axillary, short, few-flowered. Flowers small, white. Sepals and petals free, subsimilar. Lip entire, ovate, spurred. Column short, fleshy. Pollinia 2, ovoid. Rostellum deflexed, triangular, bifid.

Worldwide: 3 species in tropical Africa.
