Heteranthoecia Stapf

Description of the genus

Inflorescence of short unilateral racemes along a central axis, the raceme rhachis terminating in a point. Florets dissimilar, both fertile. Glumes persistent, subequal. Inferior lemma firmly membranous, acuminate. Superior lemma crisply chartaceous smaller, obtuse to subacute.

Worldwide: One species in tropical Africa.

Caprivi: 1 cultivated taxon.
