Description:
Climbing perennial, sometimes prostrate, growing from a tuberous root. Tendrils present. Leaves somewhat fleshy, sessile, 3-5-foliolate; leaflets up to 12 × 5 cm, more or less narrowly elliptic, often folded along the midrib, more or less velvety on both surfaces. Inflorescences lax on short axillary branchlets densely whitish pubescent. Flowers greenish-white, sometimes flushed with pink. Fruit ellipsoid, c. 8 × 5 mm, densely pubescent, red when ripe.
