Description:	Erect subshrub, stems 10-40 cm tall, from woody rootstock, usually flowering after burns. Stems at first with tubercular-based hairs, later ± glabrous. Leaves 12-24 foliolate. Stipules appendaged at base. Inflorescences axillary, several- to 10-flowered, sometimes branched. Bracts persistent or tardily dehiscent. Articles of fruit glabrous.
