| Description: | Perennial herb to 1 m tall. Stem sometimes with small buds bearing orbicular leaves at the base, glabrous to pubescent with antrorse or spreading hairs. Leaves sessile or shortly petiolate; lamina linear to narrowly elliptic. Upper leaves subtending heads 5-25 mm long, caudate or apiculate with an ovate, orbicular or obcordate broad basal portion, white or bluish with a green apex, often inrolled, sometimes reflexed. Heads 5-20 mm long, arranged in lax or dense corymbs. Corolla 4-6 mm long, white, pink, blue or purple. | |
